Jennifer Mattern

Jennifer is the author of the award-winning parenting blog Breed 'Em and Weep, as well as the column Single Mom at Work at WorkItMom.com. She writes a weekly column for AOL's ParentDish.com, First Parent Singular. Her writing has also appeared in numerous publications, such as Brain, Child Magazine, The Boston Globe, Berkshire Living, and at LiteraryMama.com.

A native of Philadelphia, PA, she holds a BA from Grinnell College in Iowa and an MFA in Theatre (Playwriting/Acting) from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. She is a stage actress as well as a published and produced playwright.

Jenn resides in an old New England mill town with two daughters, two dogs, two cats, and an odd assortment of vintage postcards.
